As Raila visits the east side of Mt Kenya region. Various leaders want him to consider Peter Kenneth as his running mate. Here is how:
As we near 2022 various leaders eyeing different positions in the government continue making campaign tours around the nation. However many are in a bid to lure the Mt. Kenya region to rally behind them. This as the region is home to the most votes. Hence having the region behind them will be a boost to whatever they will manage to garner from other regions.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is not left behind either. As he is back again to Mt. Kenya in one of his intensified campaigns across the region.
Raila is on a three-day tour starting today. He will be holding rallies in Mt. Kenya East counties of Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi.
Leaders allied to the former prime minister from the region now want him to consider Peter Kenneth as his running mate.
Raila has been on a campaigning journey for two weeks. Where he has toured 8 counties in two weeks. He will be starting his campaign journey in Laare town. His next stop will be Maua town, then he will head to Kanjai and later he will hold a public rally in Meru Town.
Tomorrow, Raila will start another round of campaigning at Nkubu. He will then head to Chuka town. He will, later on, hold an Azimio la Umoja meeting in Embu.
Peter Kenneth for runningmate…
As his visit to the region starts his allies in the region are pushing for Raila to take Peter Kenneth as his running mate to the polls.
“Sisi kama viongozi wa Murang’a, hatujakuwa na bahati maana viongozi wawili wametoka Kiambu…ule kiongozi mwingine alitoka Nyeri. Sasa tunasema sisi watu wa Murang’a tumejitolea…sasa tunasema tuko na brand yetu, mheshimiwa Peter Kenneth,” said Gatanga MP Joseph Nduati, while at a function inn Kangema.
“Murang’a is an important equation, it is the cradle, and a time has come when Murang’a must also be at the top of the chart.” said former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.
“Peter Kenneth tutasimama na wewe, na vile tumekubaliana hapa, tutaendelea na kuambia watu wetu,” added Kigumo MP Ruth Mwaniki.
“Peter Kenneth has outgrown Murang’a, kwa hivo nawaomba kwa heshima kubwa sana mtupatie ili atengeneze na aendeleze hii nchi mbele.”
