Ngirici Still Running For Kirinyaga Governorship

Kirinyaga women representative Wangui Ngirici announced she will be vying for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat on an independent ticket.

“I am running as an independent candidate and I have made that very clear.mimi sibanduki, hii msimamo naenda nauyo mpaka August 9,”she stated.

Furthermore, Ngirici cautioned big parties against looking down on smaller parties.

“Do not insult us for not being in parties, or go around dismissing parties which are not as big as yours, labelling them” village parties”, she said.

These “village parties” ndizo zitaleta leaders kwa National Assembly, the Senate,na hata governors, Ngirici added.

Making statements that seemed like jabs shot at the deputy president, Ruto’s camp.

“Let me tell you if you hear they’ve reached that point, just know that God has unleashed a spirit that will see the party go down, “Ngirici declared.

The Woman Rep said, she will not be intimidated by the sentiments of such politicians.

Ngirici faulted the UDA affiliated members of parliament for disrespecting leaders from the region who decided not to join UDA.

She told Ruto that it will not only work against their ‘preferred candidate’, Governor Anne Waiguru but also against him.

“Mkitaka endeleeni kututukana but that will be at the disadvantage of the person you are pushing to us,hatutamchagua” she noted.

More so, the outspoken lawmaker further dismissed the notion that there was a UDA wave sweeping across the Mount Kenya region.

“Now they claim that UDA has a following, that there is a wave. It is a spirit of pretence, a spirit of the devil,” she claimed.

Ngirici’s remarks are an indication of the frosty relationship between her and Dp Ruto. This is after she officially announced her exit from the hustler nation on December 27. There was speculation about a possible plan to join ODM leader Raila Odinga’s camp earlier this year.

This is after she posted a friendly birthday message to the presidential aspirant.
